One of the smallest parts of the Cornwall AONB, St. Agnes forms part of the Cornwall Mining World Heritage Site and contains a number of important tin & copper mining and tin streaming sites including Wheal Coates near Chapel Porth and the Blue Hills Tin Mine at Trevellas Coombe. St Agnes Museum provides further information on the history of the parish.
