Cornwall AONB seeks a volunteer to assist with our planning work

 

The Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is Cornwall's protected landscape, known globally for its stunning coast, countryside and moor and sensitive planning in the AONB is critical to its protection.  We are seeking a motivated person to join our busy and fun Cornwall AONB team on a voluntary basis.

You will have some experience of either administration or planning work and have an awareness of the planning system. You will be working with the Cornwall AONB Planning Officer, supporting the delivery of Cornwall AONB planning casework. The work will involve maintaining planning records, monitoring on planning outcomes and maintaining a photographic record of development within the protected landscape.

You will be organised and self starting, able to manage your own workload. You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel spreadsheets.

The post is a permanent position, part time. The volunteer must be able to commit to at least 2 days per week and be able to travel to the Cornwall AONB office in Truro.
