First and Last: The Penwith Landscapes Partership Project

FIRST AND LAST - THE WEST PENWITH LANDSCAPES PARTNERSHIP PROJECT

Our current flagship project is the West Penwith Landscapes Partnerships Scheme, which is a large (£3.9M) project which has been in development for the last four years. It's a very exciting time since the main project bid of £2.7M has just been awarded from the Heritage Lottery Fund at the end of October 2015.  The project is a partnership of local organisations including the Cornwall AONB Unit, Cornwall Rural Community Charity and Natural England, led by Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

Our vision is a resilient living, working Penwith landscape where farming prospers while protecting natural resources, restoring habitat connectivity and enhancing archaeological heritage; a landscape that is loved, enjoyed and supported by local communities and visitors.

Take a look at this fantastic short film that showcases the Penwith landscape and some of the partners who are seeking funding to achieve the vision.
