The Cornwall AONB Partnership
The 17-strong cornwall aonb partnership was formed in october 2002 in response to the government's renewed commitment to the management of areas of natural beauty following the countryside and rights of way act 2000.
The Partnership was formally endorsed (with a signing of a Memorandum of Agreement) in March 2003 An independent Chairman, Peter Mansfield, was appointed at the same time. The Partnership is made up of 17 organisations (see below), representative of the funding partners and those organisations with an interest in the management of the landscape.
The Partnership meets four times a year to improve the co-ordinated management of the AONB landscape, through effective joint working. Its primary puropse is, of course, to implement the managment plan. As part of these meetings, the Partnership visits sites in the AONB to discuss issues with landowners and community members.
