Funding
Cornwall AONB Partnership Grants
The Cornwall AONB Partnership runs an annual grants programme for projects within or that benefit the Cornwall AONB. Funding for these grants is provided by Natural England, and they are administered by the Cornwall AONB Unit and Cornwall County Council.
Major funding sources
As with the rest of Cornwall, major funding for large or landscape scale projects in the Cornwall AONB in recent years has come via European, National, and Regional schemes. In addition significant contributions of match funding have been provided by Cornwall County Council and all the other Local Authorities (usually as core funding rather than through advertised grant schemes).
biodiversity improvement grant
Do you want to help Cornwall's wildlife and know of a project that will improve its opportunities?
Cornwall County Council's Natural Environment Service is offering small (£100-£10,000) grants to assist biodiversity in Cornwall. Grants could be used for a variety of actions, e.g. fencing, scub management, wetland management, biological recording, habitat improvements, etc. The only criteria are that the funding:
- will demonstrably improve the prospects for Cornwall's wildlife
- requires no more than £10,000 from the Cornwall BIG small grant scheme
- is requested by a bona fide organisation/company/landowner/farmer
